For the past two summers I have taken a part in my towns community garden. It has been a really great way to get to know my neighbors and to grow my own organic produce. This summer I chose to grow roma and beefmaster tomatoes and habenero and jalapeño peppers. There is nothing like fresh veggies to spice up your cooking!
A end of fiscal year celebration brunch. A strawberry, mixed greens, red onion, and blue cheese salad and a fresh mozzarella, pesto, red pepper, and ham wrap! The building was evacuated shortly after due to a power outage!
Sorry for the lapse in posts. Life has gotten quite busy. Since I’ve last posted, I got a new job in Hoboken, NJ. All of my food adventures were primarily in New York, now I get to explore new food terrain in Hoboken! Look out for some new posts about my flexitarian lifestyle adventures in Dirty Jersey!
I love food trucks. They are my new obsession. If you can’t tell yet, I have a whole lot of obsessions, and majority of them revolve around food. Today I stumbled upon a new food truck right near my job called the Taim Mobile. It’s a falafel and smoothie truck that also has a large hummus selection. Who knew such a thing existed. I love hummus. I eat it everyday and now there is a lovely truck where I can get my chickpea fix along with a smoothie. Sometimes prayers really are answered by the food Gods.

Late afternoon Greek yogurt to stave off hunger before dinner. My obsession with yogurt knows no bounds.
I absolutely love Greek yogurt. It makes a great snack and it is always good to have on hand when your are craving something sweet. Chobani has become my new favorite brand because of their unique flavors and creamy texture. For quite some time I was addicted to FAGE but after a while I got tired of there limited selection of flavors. Chobani has stole my yogurt loving heart and I’m not looking back.
